Suzette Grant-Walker, affectionately called Suzie, was born on April 15, 1971 to Gladstone and Esther Grant. Suzette was born in the small district of Paisley Avenue, Clarendon, on the beautiful island of Jamaica. As a child, she attended the Paisley Basic School for her early start education. She later moved to May Pen Primary School, where she passed her common entrance exam in 1983 and attended the Garvey Maceo Comprehensive High School. She graduated high school in 1988 with three of her four CXC subjects.
In 1989 she met and later married in 1998 the love of her life; her beau, her prince charming. She is still happily married to Pastor Clifton Walker. Their union produced two amazing children, Jon-Ross (son) and Jhireh (daughter). She was also blessed with another son through her husband, Malik, the middle child who she loves and calls her own.
Suzette studied Cosmetology, at the Claudette’s School of Beauty in Jamaica, where she obtained a license in Cosmetology. She later became an entrepreneur, owning her own Salon, Suzie’s Hair Care. There, she also taught young women the art of beauty. In the year 2007, she migrated to the United States of America. Shortly after arriving, she pursued a course in Computer Management.
Pastor Suzie completely surrendered her life to the Lord in 1997 and still carries a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is passionate about the things of God. She possesses a beautiful heart and goes hard after the things of God. She is a conscientious, diligent, loyal, dedicated, humble, and funny individual who is anointed with the Word of God. She is a friend to many, a confidant, and someone who tells the truth no matter what; she exudes the spirit of honesty.
In 2008 Suzette was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and still serves/functions in that capacity. She attended the Building Believer School of Ministry and is licensed to perform all Sacerdotal services; for example, marriages, counseling, and funerals. Pastor Suzie as she is now fondly called, is what one would call a “Church-baby.” Meaning, at an early age, she started executing different roles in the church. In fact, one would joke that she has always been involved in church happenings. From the age of 13, she took an active role in her Church where she taught many Sunday school classes, served as Youth President, and won numerous trophies for her local church in various Biblical studies competition.
Suzette is not only a Pastor, but also a Teacher, Praise and Worship Leader, Intercessor, and Motivational Speaker. She has preached in numerous Churches both locally and internationally. She possesses a love for God that is unlike no other. Nothing keeps her down. Her faith and relationship with her Father in Heaven keeps her going, no matter what she is faced with.
Pastor Suzie is also a Professional Singer and a Song Writer who has released two singles, “Back off Satan’’ and “More of You.” These songs are available for sale on Apple music, iTunes, Google Play, iHeartRadio and more. She is the Co-Author of the book, “Making a case for Christ,” and Author of her own book, “The Power of True Forgiveness.”
Pastor Suzie’s mantra in life is, “The fact that you are still here means whatever came at you wasn’t meant to kill you, and that God has a greater purpose in mind for your life and calling.”
Her favorite saying without thinking is, “I love you Jesus.”
It is her vision to continue empowering married couples on a larger scale through sharing her story of the power of God at work in her life. She has gone through several obstacles; however, with God’s help, she is still alive and well. She accredits all her many successes and gives all glory, power, honor, and praise to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was God who did it and still God who is doing it today.
